‘the key to everything’ (Goethe)

Sicily, perhaps more than whole of the rest of Italy, since ancient times has been considered the most exciting destination for the discerning traveller, often involving the deepest responses that culture, civilization and history have to offer. A journey to Sicily may be considered as a voyage into the myths of ancient Phoenician, Punic, Greek and Roman civilizations - an extraordinary experience for the soul of a traveller. Our magical three-cornered island, gently lapped by three different seas, is where Europe ends and Africa begins. Sicily’s strategic position has always made the island an irresistible target to conquer by many civilisations around Europe, leaving unique examples of magnificent art, architecture and archaeological sites. Sicily can be seductive - it is a land of contracts and stunning scenery bathed in intense Mediterranean light. The most beautiful Greek temples and Roman mosaics, as well as the ostentatious architecture of the Sicilian Baroque still exist in feudal estates with masterpieces of splendidly restored castles and villas, available in our list of venues.

The mild climate, lends itself as an ideal all-year choice for your wedding destination. Every season has its own charm and beauty, changing the island radically with its vibrant and intense colours and light. However, when planning a wedding in Sicily it is important to consider the temperature, as during the summer it can be hot even for the native Sicilian! Temperatures can reach the high 30s during the day, although in the evening it cools down, and is perfect for an al fresco dinners and a stroll perhaps eating our delicious ice-cream. Spring and Autumn are the perfect seasons, with beautiful orange and almond-flower blossoms, and an average mid 20s temperature that makes it very comfortable and pleasant for any event, inside or out of doors.

Sicilian gastronomy is living history, as each wave of conquest has shaped the traditional cuisine that to this day still remains strong in everyday eating habits. Food is an expression of Sicilian affection and hospitality; its distinctive characteristics contribute to a cuisine so varied and rich in flavours and taste that Sicilian food distinguishes itself from any other in the world. It is this wealth of traditional cuisine, combined with a modern and innovative approach, with which our selected caterers are able to delight you and your guests.
